The project organizes three participatory events (one for each WP 1–3) and a final seminar (WP 4):

WP 1 organizes a round table discussion in the spring of 2021, where the project scientist, policy makers and regional authorities discuss the preliminary study results and possible adjustments to finalize the analyses. The discussion feeds into mutual transmission of the study results and steers the conclusions to be made at the end of the WP. Discussion is especially built to serve the related stakeholders to feed their input into the project for improved policy relevance. The related stakeholders to be invited to the event include Business Finland, Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, regional actors (e.g., regional councils, ELY-Centers) and company representatives.

WP 2 organizes a workshop in the autumn of 2021 for a group of selected voluntary companies, company representatives, scientists, regional and local authorities and policy makers to discuss the impact of collaboration and related processes to improve the effectiveness and impact of future collaboration. The related stakeholders to be invited to the workshop include companies and company representatives, Business Finland, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Ministry of Education and Culture and regional actors (e.g., regional councils, ELY-Centers).

WP 3 arranges a workshop in the spring of 2022 to bring together innovation actors – including municipalities, companies, citizens and policy makers to collaborate – who are interested in supporting public procurement agencies and companies to develop demand-side innovation and their collaboration networks. The event aims: to advance the scaling of PPI from local or regional solutions to national and international solutions; to facilitate societal common good and; to address grand societal challenges in Finland by PPI. The workshop can potentially be organized in cooperation with the KEINO-competence center. The invited parties include representatives from Business Finland, municipalities (and other public procurement agencies), Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Ministry of Finance, regional actors (e.g., regional councils, ELY-Centers), company representatives and the third sector.

A final seminar will be arranged at the end of the project (late spring 2022) to disseminate the project results to the relevant stakeholders.
